What would your 85-year-old self tell you to do right now?

I recently watched a powerful video by Alex Hormozi, where he spoke about Solomon’s Paradox. King Solomon, known for his unmatched wisdom, was famous for giving incredible advice to others. But failed to follow it himself. Despite his brilliance, his unchecked desire for wealth, women, and power ultimately led to the downfall of his kingdom through his own son.

Hormozi posed a life-changing question:
What would your 85-year-old self tell you to do right now?

Often, when we’re deep in the present, our vision is clouded by emotion, fear, and short-term thinking. But when we ask our future self for advice, the version of us who’s lived through everything, we get clarity that’s grounded in wisdom, not impulse.

True success comes from the ruins of past failures. Every obstacle pushes us to becoming the best version of yourselves. Moving forward, I’m learning to make this a daily practice. Anchoring into my long-term vision each morning and asking myself:
What actions today will move the needle? What choices will push the boat forward, even if just by an inch?

When I reflect on the hardest moments of my life, one thing remains true:
I always kept going.

And with time, I realized something deeper.
The light at the end of the tunnel isn’t something you wait for.
You are the light.
You guide yourself forward.
With trust. With faith. With the quiet knowing that divine timing is always at work.

Life doesn’t happen to you.
It happens for you.

Every failure, every heartbreak, every delay. It’s not punishment.
It’s preparation.

True success doesn’t come despite the setbacks.
It grows from them.
Every obstacle is shaping you into the person you’re meant to become.

P.S. Please keep going and never give up. In a few years when you read your blog posts again, you’ll see how far you have come. Everything you have worked hard toward and dreamed of is already here or on it’s way. You will look back and see your growth like a caterpilla turning into a butterfly. Remember, the Roman Empire wasn’t built in a day, and the woman you’re becoming Wendy… she’s doing incredible things. She is purpose-driven and works from the heart and soul.
